Moving to the country, gona eat me a lot of peaches! Or grapes & pears… October 03 2014

We recently made the - what seemed like huge - departure to the Kent countryside. Having lived in Zone 2 in East London for 7 years, it’s a big change! I was brought up in the country too, so we always knew it was the next logical step, although perhaps it happened a bit sooner than I thought it would - no regrets yet though!

Having become very used to my surroundings in London - and using my local park as inspiration for the Rock Paper Cloth collection - I was worried for lots of reasons that the move was a leap of faith too far. But there’s inspiration galore here and room to breath - it literally is, a breath of fresh air.

We’ve been spending a lot of time in the garden - I’m not the most green fingered person, but I will try. I do know we have figs and grapes, pears and apples, apricots and more. Then we’ve also planted lettuce, radishes, rocket, chilli’s and tomatoes - all thriving - which, when I am at all involved, amazes me! So, that’s where I am and this beautiful Kent countryside is where I will be working for now.

On another note, the collection is now on sale at Wolf & Badger online and is also newly stocked at 57 Arts in Brockley, both of which I am delighted about. Full details are available on the stockist page. Lastly, if you’d like to see the scarves in the flesh, I will be at the Saturday Market in Spitalfields on October 11th from 11am-5pm. Please do come and say hello.....

Until next time - hopefully it won’t be as long an interval as it has been this time!
